HOW TO: Fill your Eyebrows (Beginner)

(Skip to the bottom for HOW TO Pictures)
Eyebrows are very important to your overall face shape. Just like every other feature on your face it can be altered by a little makeup! Now, if you’re just starting to fill your eyebrows in I recommend you start with a MATTE (no shimmer or glitter) Eye Shadow; a pencil might be hard to control. Pick out an eye shadow 1 to 2 shades darker than your hair color with dark brown/black hair a taupe or dark brownish/grey color will work best. Black may be too harsh but black can be used with a light hand. Eyebrows range from thin to thick and from faded to prominent; it’s all based on preference. Everyone has their own style, but a good rule of thumb is to follow your NATURAL shape, it will suit you best. Take into account the Width, Length, and Arch these are all important, measurements can be taking by using a pencil or eyeliner to measure out where your eyebrow should begin, arch and end.
Hold the pencil or eyeliner over each point (like connect the dots): (1) The corner of your eye to the beginning of your brow (2), hold the pencil tip at the beginning of your nose diagonally over the (1) pupil of your eye (looking straight) the arch or highest point should be at the end of the pencil, (1) starting from your nose to the outer (2) corner of your eye on a diagonal to the (3) end of the brow.
As for thickness or thinness following your natural shape is best. But, if you have over plucked, sparse hair or had a bad wax job. Penciling in a shape (lightly) before setting it with a Matte eye shadow of the appropriate color is the best of going about filling in the brows.
Whether you choose to use a pencil or shadow use a light hand and feather like strokes and or hair like strokes. Remember you are mimicking hair. If you want a more defined shape, defining a line with your eyebrow pencil under the eyebrow or over the eyebrow may help. Make sure to blend! Also using a concealer around the eyebrow can make for a crisp shape. I recommend under the arch, where you use highlighter and toward the end of the brow where it slopes down.
Using a brow gel to set the eyebrows in place is highly recommended.
Grooming the brows is very important. Learn or get eyebrows trimmed as well as shaped accordingly.
Of course these are just guidelines but once you get the basics down you can have fun and change up the shape!
Helpful Hints: Thicker eyebrows can make you look youthful. The straighter the eyebrow is the more youthful the look. The thinner the eyebrows are can age you.
Personally: My go to shape is more on the straight side and I like my eyebrows more faded or blended in.  I am inspired by Korean Makeup and these eyebrows are more on trend. I can also go from a more arched look to a more defined look; it depends on what kind of look I’m going for. I use an eyebrow pencil and eye shadow in a taupe color. I brush my eyebrows upward with a spooly and I set my brows with a brow gel.
